Discover a World of Outdoor Adventures for Children
At Ambleford, we believe the best childhood memories are made outside — climbing, creating, exploring, and imagining. Our wide range of children’s activities gives every young adventurer the chance to connect with nature, build new skills, and make lasting friendships.
From action-packed holiday clubs filled with den building, bushcraft, animal care, and campfire cooking, to gentle Briarlings sessions for our youngest explorers, there’s something for every age and personality. We also host seasonal celebrations, special themed days, and unique one-off experiences that turn a regular day outdoors into a magical adventure.
Come and join us — the outdoors is waiting.
For parents who want to see their child progress, our onsite tuition combines the benefits of focused learning with the unique environment of Ambleford. Small-group and 1-2-1 sessions take place in our dedicated learning spaces, right alongside our woodland and smallholding — giving children space to learn, think, and recharge in nature.
We also offer personalised 1-to-1 tuition for children with additional needs, ensuring every learner gets the support and attention they need to thrive.
We’re excited to be introducing the nationally recognised Arts Award programme at Ambleford.
Children will have the chance to explore their creativity through art, craft, performance, and storytelling — while working towards an accredited qualification. It’s a fantastic way to build confidence, develop new skills, and gain a recognised achievement to be proud of.
Drawing and Talking is a well-established therapeutic approach that helps children process emotions and experiences through creativity, rather than direct questioning.
This calm, non-intrusive method is especially helpful for children who may find it difficult to express themselves in words, including those dealing with anxiety, change, or past trauma.
By providing a supportive and confidential environment, Drawing and Talking helps build emotional resilience, self-confidence, and a stronger sense of well-being..
