Upcoming Activities for Kids

Discover a World of Outdoor Adventures for Children

At Ambleford, we believe the best childhood memories are made outside — climbing, creating, exploring, and imagining. Our wide range of children’s activities gives every young adventurer the chance to connect with nature, build new skills, and make lasting friendships.

From action-packed holiday clubs filled with den building, bushcraft, animal care, and campfire cooking, to gentle Briarlings sessions for our youngest explorers, there’s something for every age and personality. We also host seasonal celebrations, special themed days, and unique one-off experiences that turn a regular day outdoors into a magical adventure.

Come and join us — the outdoors is waiting.

Term Time Learning & Fun for All Ages:

A Gentle Route Back into Learning – Reconnect With Learning After Anxiety, Distress and School Avoidance
(ages 11-15)

Many children are finding traditional education increasingly difficult. Anxiety, school avoidance, sensory overwhelm and a loss of confidence can leave children feeling disconnected from both learning and themselves.

Ambleford is offering a unique term-time programme set within our woodland and smallholding environment, children are given the time, space and support they need to rebuild confidence, develop meaningful relationships and reconnect with learning through real-world experiences.

Our focus is not simply on education, but on helping children thrive emotionally, socially and academically once again.

Term-Time Forest & Farm Days
(ages 5 to 12)

Set amidst the stunning backdrop of ancient woodland, our Forest & Farm School sessions are the perfect blend of learning, adventure, and creativity.

Aimed at home educated children and those who are able to negotiate time away from mainstream school, these weekly sessions engage children in a range of activities including tool use, learning traditional rural crafts, animal husbandry, permaculture and conservation, art and music.

Wild Mind: Weekly Group ADHD Coaching

Wild Minds is our six-week ADHD coaching programme for children aged 8–14. Through outdoor challenges, practical activities and guided coaching, we help children understand how their ADHD brain works, develop strategies for the things they find difficult, and discover the strengths that make them different.

It’s not about changing who they are – it’s about helping them understand themselves, build confidence and find their advantage.

Consistently rated ★★★★★ on Google, our parties are known for being something genuinely different — and genuinely special.

While other parties rush children from one activity to the next, ours slow things down and let the magic happen naturally. Set in our beautiful smallholding, children are free to explore, build, light fires, meet animals, and play imaginatively with their friends in a way that feels calm, exciting, and deeply memorable.

Parents regularly tell us these are the best parties they’ve ever booked — not because they’re loud or flashy, but because the children are happy, engaged, and completely themselves.

These aren’t just parties; they’re the kind of birthdays that become treasured childhood memories.
